Construction and Operation of fibre to the Premises (FTTP) pilot network
Manchester City Council has implemented a Digital Strategy, which includes providing opportunities to test the implementation, operation and application of next generation broadband networks as part of a “living lab” pilot research project.
The pilot project will see the construction of a fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) network connecting homes and businesses in the City South Partnership area of Manchester.
The city council is therefore looking for partners to build, maintain and operate the fibre network as part of a concession arrangement.
The city council is interested in proposals to undertake all or some of the tasks detailed in the tender, working individually or together with other partners in a consortium.
