As a frequent attendee of BarCamps I question that this is "the world’s first user-generated day of events", but it is great that the concept is being used and built on around the world. There was a BarCampManchesterUK last March that I could not attend, but there is a two day Manchester BarCamp coming up later this year that I fully intend coming to. Sadly the cutting room experiment clashes with Unsheffield so I will not be able to attend this time. I hope the day goes well and everyone learns and enjoys them selves.
